Potted & Proud is an independently operated online store based in the United States and a brand of Accretion Creations LLC. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how your information is handled when you visit or make a purchase from our store.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information only when it is necessary to fulfill your order, respond to your inquiry, or understand how our store is used. This includes:
- Order information: your name, shipping address, email address, and phone number (if provided). This information is used solely to process and ship your order.
- Payment information (processed by Stripe): card and payment details are entered directly into Stripe’s secure payment form. Potted & Proud never sees or stores your full card number. Stripe’s privacy policy applies to payment data: stripe.com/privacy.
- Email address: used to send order confirmations and shipping updates. We do not add you to any marketing list without your explicit opt-in.
- Usage data (via analytics, with your consent — see sections 2 and 3): pages and products viewed, approximate country-level location, device and browser type.
2. Cookies and Consent
We use two kinds of cookies:
- Essential cookies — required for the store to work (your shopping cart, checkout, and account login). These cannot be switched off because the store cannot function without them.
- Analytics cookies — used by Google Analytics (see section 3) to help us understand how the store is used. These are optional.
When you first visit, a consent banner lets you accept or decline analytics cookies. No analytics cookies are set, and no analytics data is collected, until you agree. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the cookie-settings link in the site footer. We use Google Consent Mode, so your choice is respected before any analytics tags load.
3. Analytics — Google Analytics 4
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a web-analytics service provided by Google, to understand how visitors find and use our store — for example which pages and products are viewed, how many people visit, and general (non-precise) location such as country. This helps us improve the store and decide which products to offer.
When enabled, GA4 sets cookies and processes data such as your device and browser type, the pages you view, and a randomized identifier. Google processes this data as our service provider. We do not enable Google Signals or cross-device advertising features, and we do not use analytics to identify you personally.
You can opt out at any time by declining analytics cookies in our consent banner, or by installing Google’s browser opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Google’s own privacy policy governs the data it processes: policies.google.com/privacy.
4. Advertising
We do not currently run advertising or remarketing pixels on this store. If we introduce advertising in the future, we will update this policy first, and any such tracking will be subject to your consent choices.
5. What We Do Not Do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
- We do not set analytics or advertising cookies without your consent.
6. Order Fulfillment — Third-Party Processors
Orders are fulfilled through our print-on-demand partners. Your shipping name and address are transmitted to the fulfillment partner solely for the purpose of producing and shipping your order. These partners act as data processors under our instruction and are not permitted to use your information for any other purpose.
7. Data Retention
Order records are retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting law (generally seven years). Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics configuration. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time; we will honor such requests to the extent permitted by law and our legitimate business obligations.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your state or country of residence, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you, and to withdraw consent for analytics. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Security
Our store uses HTTPS encryption for all pages. Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS compliance. We do not store payment card data on our servers.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our store is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the date of the most recent revision. Continued use of the store after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
